ARTS EDUCATION WEBINARS
As part of the NC Race to the Top Blended Professional Development Plan, four Arts Education Essential Standards webinars have been planned for the 2011-12 school year. The first webinar took place on September 27, 2011. The webinars are intended to provide support to local school system and charter school leaders who are charged with implementing a local professional development plan for the new standards, but anyone who is interested in staying informed is invited to attend. The webinars each take place from 3:30 – 4:30 pm, followed minutes for questions and answers. The first webinar focused on local implementation plans. The December webinar will continue discussion of local plans, but will primarily focus on graphic organizers, which is the latest instructional tool under development to support implementation of the standards.
